TOP TIP: Ask the security guard which bit to go to - it saves queuing unnecessarily!! This is the bank that I use in Marrakech, Morocco. I usually find all staff supportive but my favourite branch is further down the street (close to Pizza Hut because it’s smaller and a more personal service). This branch has a bureau de change, cashpoints (inside and outside the branch) and is one of the largest BMCE branches in Marrakech. COVID-19 - fully compliant, temperature checks, active use of antibac gels, new plastic screens for cashiers masks.

The person who is in charge of business accounts went on vacation. Good for them. Unfortunately, he is apparently the only person who can do anything. So the bank said I have to wait until he comes back (weeks) for urgent business operations. The number they told me to call is broken… It is all normal for how bad the Moroccan banking system is, but I thought I’d let any curious people know. One man’s vacation can ruin your business financial operations for weeks. And that is okay in Morocco.
