Very bad experience at this hongleong bank. We came on a Thursday morning to renew debit card and there were only 5 numbers in front of me but waited for 1.5hours. When it was finally my turn, because the staff at the counter pressed two number at once, I had to wait for the person in front of me to be done first. However, that person took a longer time and the number after me was called before I could be serve. I went to the counter to notify the staff but there were two female Malay staffs that were very rude and accused me of not coming when they called, and therefore I should wait. Their original words were “dah tekan tapi tak mari” but the truth was that they pressed two numbers accidentally and proceeded to skip my number. My recent visit to the bank exceeded expectations. The staff took the time to understand my needs and guided me with genuine care. Big shout out to Ms. Zatul for her outstanding assistance. Her friendly approach made the entire experience even better.

I opened a kid’s account for my child, but only received a handwritten slip with the account number. When I visited the branch again, the staff told me I needed to register online. I explained that I couldn’t complete the registration because the system blocked it due to using my child’s NRIC. The staff then said I should use my own NRIC instead. I told them I had already tried, but an error message appeared. Only then did they mention that I needed to complete the online registration at the branch first. I’m puzzled why this information wasn’t provided earlier — I had to find out step by step through repeated questions. The overall experience was unpleasant. Please place a user guide upfront. Tq

Horrible experience at HLB Taman Connaught. Went there to open a business account but was not properly entertained by a counter officer named Zaidi. He insisted that I could not open a business account because my business “needed to be running first”, without even checking my details or documents in the system. When I asked how I was supposed to run a business without a business account, he kept arguing instead of assisting. He also insisted that I needed a TikTok account for my business, even though I am not selling on TikTok at all. The advice given was confusing and unprofessional. It felt like I was not taken seriously, perhaps because I am not a high-net-worth customer opening a privilege account. The visit completely wasted my time. I went to another HLB branch the next day and managed to open a business account without any hassle. Very disappointed with the service at this branch.
