The quality of service consistently exceeds expectations. The team is professional, attentive, and delivers excellent results every time. The recurring challenge, however, appears to be staffing levels. Wait times — particularly in February — tend to be longer than reasonable, and this has been noticeable at the downtown location since before the restructuring. Given the consistently strong outcomes, expanding the team would meaningfully enhance the overall client experience and align operational capacity with the high standard of service already being delivered. Merci.
Today is November 27, 2025. Around 1 PM, I had to drive from South Shore to this branch to inquire, which took me over an hour. I have a safe deposit box near the old power station for my parents to use, but last week they went there and found it was closed. So I called that branch during their working hours, but no one answered. I left my details hoping they would reply later. However, I didn't receive a reply the next day, so I called again, and still no one answered. I left my details again. This Tuesday, I called the branch again, and still no one answered. Ironically, I heard the automated message say, "Your call is very important to us, and we will get back to you by the end of today." This time, I didn't leave a message and connected directly to online customer service, but the customer service representative was unprofessional. They told me that the contents of my safe deposit box had been transferred to the branch in Longueuil, South Shore. So I got the branch's phone number a
Not sure what it is about this branch, but it is always an aggravating experience doing anything here! If I could give 0 stars I would as the service is atrocious and they clearly don’t care about the bank clients. Once again for the 5th time out of 7 visits I can now recall in terms of unpleasant and dissatisfactory experiences with these people regarding what should have been a straightforward transaction. Probably because as usual it was a black person and therefore immediate suspicion. So that’s it, I’m done with this bank and I will open an account with a different bank as I don’t have to put up with such nonsense. Enough!
Asked for $3,000 cash — apparently at this branch, that requires special approval. Fine. The teller said they only had $50 bills — fine again. Then a manager showed up and said they could only give me a mix of $20s and $50s. Seriously? How am I supposed to carry $3,000 worth of $20 bills? Eventually, they made an “exception” and gave me all $50s. But honestly, can you not manage your cash inventory properly? 💰 This is ridiculous. I really feel for the Chinese elders here who don’t speak French or English — they have no choice but to endure this kind of treatment.
