Beautifully designed building and lovely interiors but when it comes to practicality it hardly serves the purpose. Got my number as AD48 and since I have come the number has been stuck at 44. The people at the counter are literally chitchatting, on top I went to enquire and they are fumbling as they are not trained well. By now in another bank my number would have come twice, please train your employees well so that the customers are satisfied and instead hate coming to your branches. I am literally still in the waiting with no idea even when my turn come. Last time I came also ended up going back and ended up finishing my work from Nizwa branch instead. A town branch is literally faster than a city branch. On

Having been in Oman for a long time and visited most of the banks, I should say I was pleasantly surprised by the service I received at the NBO headquarters. Got to the bank at 0830, took a token and just had to wait for a few minutes till my number was called. I wanted to open a corporate account. The Service Manager helped with all the documentation, opened the account, gave me the account details, ATM Card, applied for Internet banking etc. It was an amazing experience. I could finish up everything in one go. Thanks to Ms. Salwa Al Shaqsi who helped out with everything. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants to bank with NBO to visit the Head office branch.

So I have been trying to open a new account with NBO due to a requirement from my job, I first try the app for 2 days, unresponsive, doesnt send OTP, non functioning buttons. I take time from work to visit boushar branch only to find out they cannot open new accounts, so I end up at the head office in Athaiba where there is literally no system in place: - Over 15 counters in the main lobby, only half are manned, I ask the security where to proceed, I am told to sit on the (randomly facing) sofas where you cannot even see some of the counters and wait for one to free up - we are probably 10 customers sitting there waiting from all walks of life, positions and nationalities, no one knows who came first or who will go next. - a counter frees up and 3 people get up to race to it, the 2 slower ones return to their seat having lost the race - another counter frees up and I am forced to play this racing game, only to be told opening a new account is not from this counter and to wait for anot

Ever since I was born in Oman, I have heard that NBO provides a premium service to their customers regardless of their nationality. When I opened my account here everything was so simple & easy. The customer service staff - Ms. Sukaina was really helpful & great at her job. She processed my documents while attending to other urgent matters. So, I gladly waited due to her kind & professional behaviour. She answered all of my questions & had a good attitude throughout my visit. In conclusion, I am glad & happy to be a part of the NBO family & will continue using this Bank till im in Oman.
