Chase Bank 880 Commonwealth Avenue Allston

As of January 2026, the Google rating is 2.9, and it is well deserved. The staff seemed inept, and what should’ve taken two minutes took almost half an hour. The bank was empty, so it wasn’t a matter of being too crowded. It seemed that no one was really trained and did not know how to handle anything beyond basic transactions. Avoid this Chase Bank location unless you have a lot of time on your hands.

Walk-in service is clearly not welcome here. I saw a couple of walk-in customers get “politely” refused service for not having appointments — even though they had extra staff (two completely free and two with other customers) and no one else waiting at 2 PM. Customers were even willing to wait. But hey, it’s 9-to-5 and paid, so who cares, right? 🙂 Highly recommend booking an appointment in advance — and good luck.

Went to Chase today and opened a new account! Ana is the best! Go find her and she’s pretty helpful and professional! Updated on Oct 2, 2024 Nasrin is another great banker I’ve met at chase bank. She’s very professional and helpful as well, and I got touched knowing her motivating story. Love this chase brunch and the people working here!

The actual worst bank ever. Every time I went to the bank to deposit things, or ask for any help or have any questions it’s so useless. Also, they have ZERO forgiveness if you’re scammed and there’s no emphasis on customer service. Also, they said they would call me back after they closed my account that still had money in it and hasn’t contacted me AT ALL regarding them stealing the money that was in the account at the time of closure

Attendant in front was quick to help me get some personal checks cut, I came in wearing gym clothes too and they treated me professionally. Not sure what everyone else is complaining about, location is convenient and clean.
