If I could give this branch zero stars I would. The branch is packed and there are only two consultants available. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a bank. Doesn’t matter on what day you come here, you’ll always get terrible service. The consultants take forever to deal with a simple issue. Constantly having side conversations amongst each other. Honestly it’s a crappy branch. ABSA could do better, don’t you guys read reviews? Picture below is of consultants having a casual 20 minute chat while more than 15 clients sit waiting for assistance

Honestly the worst experience and it's no wonder I don't bank with them. Firstly, there are always only two persons manning the customer service department. Secondly, only one consultant is in the know of how to help me with my particular issue. I've been three times to the bank to get assistance with the same issue. Each time you wait for over an hour. There is no branch manager available. In the picture below none of the consultants are even attending to the clients waiting. If there was a zero rating I'd give them that.

Worst ATM machines ever. Constantly out of order. Constantly unable to deposit cash. You’ll wait in a long queue only to realise the machine does not work.

As a long standing bank, it would make sense that Absa would get with the times. Pick up some tips from Capitec and have a number system so that customers are assisted in order. There was nonassistant at the entrance desk so it's guesswork to knownwhere to go. We waited a while yet 2 customers jumped the queue because there's no order and no one to assist. We instead play musical chairs and hope we're in the correct queue. Considering the lengthy wait, the chairs, sorry benches, are also only suitable for preschoolers. Very uncomfortable wait.
