Bendigo Bank 275 George Street Brisbane City

I’m a EPOA for my stepmother, her husband, my Dad passed a way in August last year. My Stepmother (Malaysian) has no knowledge of banking, legal matters or being able to do any of this herself. My Dads EPOA allowed me access to their account while he was alive, on his death, the bank shut the door on the bank account as my stepmother no longer had an existing EPOA with me as immediate access. A new EPOA then had to done for her, as the old EPOA didn’t have an immediate start. I have waited now months as no one contacted me an any time to ask me for a Doctors Certificate stating she was not competent to run her own affairs. I have since had to travel 100 klms to sit with her at her Drs to arrange a letter for Bendigo Bank. I informed them I have cancer and I’m terminal doing Chemo two out of three weeks month in month out. Due to not having access to her account I’ve had to pay bills she can’t pay herself. I can’t just drive down there, I have days when I am sick with Chemo effects, it’

For closing down branches in the rural areas even those customers in these areas needs branches, Bendigo bank has provided evidence they are not the bigger big bank, but the bank that doesn't care for rural customers.

The customer service are so rude I had hold for 48 mins and when I asked about making a complaint the person on the phone was even ruder I definitely would not recommend this bank if U need to contact them often

I called and made a dispute about a transaction within minutes of it happening and they told me it had been filed and would update me. 1.5 months later and there was no update, I rang again and there is now there is "no record" of this dispute on multiple systems. Highly ironic when being kept on hold listening to their recordings of people talking about their "excellent customer service".

I was waiting on the phone to speak with someone for 1hr 16 mins and 49 seconds before calling it quits. Appalling!!
