Hatton National Bank - Nugegoda Branch 190 Avissawella Road Jambugasmulla

This bank is big and nice in appearance. But they treat people from their appearance, I came walking and was sweating when I got there. I recently opened an account in HNB, got a debit card, paid at a gas station and they deducted 1% extra from me, today I asked this from one of their bank officers and he argued saying they do not do such a thing. Then he calls to confirm it and find out there is in fact such a thing at filling stations. Very bad knowledge, imagine a bank arguing like this with customers! How can we trust this bank? On top of it they require us to maintain a minimum balance in the account or they will fine us! Banks are supposed to provide services not lie to people or impose wired rules, specially when they are handling our money. HNB, please make sure you keep all officers informed of your bank charges! And try to be a good bank like Sampath!

The staff are pleasant and the environment is welcoming. I have never felt uncomfortable visiting the bank and their services have consistently resolved my issues. I highly recommend this bank and particularly the Nugegoda branch.

I recently visited Hatton National Bank NUGEGODA branch to open up a dollar account and the lady in charge of the division Mrs Deepthi helped me and did everything within a very limited short time period.
