Recently, I had to make an urgent foreign transaction and had a frustrating experience with another reputed bank in Sri Lanka. I decided to close my profile there and switch to HNB for all my foreign transactions—and I’m so glad I did! The service at this branch is truly top-notch. Unlike some other banks where managers barely engage with customers, even the Assistant Branch Manager at Maharagama personally interacts with customers waiting with tokens, showing genuine care and support. Whenever I needed a statement or guidance on any matter, the staff provided clear instructions and prompt assistance. I want to specially thank Ms. Chamodi, who went above and beyond to support me. Really bad experience. I went to open a new account today and already waited more than an hour and still didnt get a chance to sit on a counter. It was not judt being busy but the te people who were in fast moving counters were taking so many time and not communicating properly. Will not recommend to visting anyone to the kottawa branch. I wanted to know about invetment opportunites and open a account according to that. But seeing how unprofessional they handle the crowd their I dont wanna risk my time and money with them
