Very disappointed with this bank. How can you deduct charges every single month without properly informing customers? On top of that, there are yearly service charges, monthly fees, taxes, and other random deductions. This is not about the small amount of money — it’s about transparency and respect for customers. I have been living abroad for the past 7 years and never experienced this kind of continuous deduction from my account. A yearly service charge is understandable, but monthly charges without clear explanation are unacceptable. If you deduct even 50 rupees per month from 1 million customers, imagine how much money that becomes. Customers deserve clear communication and proper authorization before any deductions are made. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this bank. Please choose carefully before opening an account here.

I was at the grandparents branch now the assistant manager strip typed me and was very rude. Informed the manager and he took the staff side For more than 25 minutes only one counter was working And the manager proudly said he he short staff and for me to wait or to leave his establishment From 9.10 am to 10. 45 I was at the bank and the staff there was talking waht there going to have for lunch than helping me And the manager said to me he will just speak to the staff I would really appreciate if u could check and take nesasri actions so it dose not repeat it As I had a long day because of your bank I could not do my other things that I was planning to do

Dear Manager, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my visit to your HNB wellawatta branch today. I collected token number 22 and proceeded to fill out my deposit slip. Unfortunately, my number was called within approximately 10 seconds—before I had completed filling the slip. When I approached Counter No. 3 shortly after, the staff member spoke to me in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner, stating that my number had already passed. Instead of assisting me or offering a reasonable solution, she rudely suggested that I should take a token only after completing the deposit slip, and claimed that she "cannot advise" me. I applied for an HNB credit card, and after waiting three weeks, they reduced my credit limit by LKR 100,000 from the amount they first promised. It really wasted my time and was very disappointing.
