Today is a sad day. After 27 years with Hang Seng Bank, I closed my accounts. Although the front-desk staffers and on-site managers all deserve a 5-star review (special thanks to Ms Lo Po Yu and Mr Hilson Cheung for their diligent service and kind patience), the ebanking platform and the remote support are below local standards. Cumbersome, not to say bureaucratic. I came across issues while travelling abroad, and never received any form of proper support. Only the customary sentence : download the relevant forms from our website, fill the required information, and mail it back to us. Which I did on two occasions. Changes and amendments were never implemented. In 2025, ebanking platforms must be user-friendly and secured, evolutive and interactive.

If there is a negative five star rating, I would max it. I visit this center regularly and about 90% of the time I see three to four staff gather around talking and laughing among themselves at the reception area. When this kind of behavior is readily for all to see, it must be like a zoo behind the doors in their office. I took videos with my phone on many occasions and I think it is time to post them on youtube for everyone to see. The lack of professionalism is just so disappointing for such an establishment.

My family have been long time customer of Hang Seng Bank for decades. My parents had been their faithful customer. But I hate their interrogating manhandle us when we withdraw or deposit money into our accounts. our account balance are typically well over 7 figures. Monday I withdraw a check for 5 figures, I was there over 5 hours. No lunch, no toilet. They claimed they have to identify me, error in paper work, processing, and excuses after excuses. Yuck.

I visited the centre this afternoon and had to wait for over 50 mins before getting served. I asked the reception a couple of times and they had no response nor help. The male staff Lee should receive more training in customer service.
