I went to open a new account at 3:30 PM, but was told reservations were given priority and I couldn't open one. (Even though there was no wait time at the time and there were still 2.5 hours until closing.) I explained that I couldn't take time off work and wanted to open an account today and set up automatic transfers, but they said, "You can open an account on your smartphone, but please come back later to set up automatic transfers." "Huh?" I didn't want to waste time talking, so I left without saying anything, but I don't understand why so many employees work in such a clean, spacious office. I'm also at fault for going without a reservation, but how could they expect me to come back another day when I took time off work to go there? If they were only going to accept reservations from the start, they should have made a big statement on the branch's website that they only accept customers with reservations, rather than "priority." Very unpleasant.

There is an ATM, though. But it's mainly for other transactions. Directions: - Go to the entrance of the office lobby on the 1st floor. - Tell the receptionist that you want to go to Resona Bank. - Show your ID at the receptionist. - Receive an entry pass (a paper with a QR code). - Take the elevator to the 18th floor. - The entrance is near the elevator. I was able to carry over my passbook, which was a big help.

I was told without any hesitation that if the account was worth more than 10 million yen, I could not cancel it on the same day unless I went to the branch where I opened the account, so I left in tears, but I wonder if this is the case at other banks as well.

It's located on the 18th floor of the JP Building, but getting in is very complicated and inconvenient. Even if you go, it takes a long time because they're short-staffed.

The Tokyo branch is unusually located on an upper floor rather than the ground floor.
