I being an International student in germany, the entire banking process was difficult at first. Thanks to the bank for making it much easier. The staff was friendly and spoke English. Special shout out to Mehaj for being so friendly and welcoming throughout the entire process.

Terrible experience. I applied to open an account on the website and at the end I was told I just needed to simply verify my identity at a branch, so I went to this branch on 25.08.2025 and: 1. I waited 1.5 hours for someone to see me, while 20+ other customers were allowed to cut in front of me. 2. There were 8 employees and yet only 3 were interacting with people while the rest hid in their offices. 3. Finally two young men called me up, and spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out how to do it, until they called a senior employee out of his office to help. They seemed to try every possible way to deny me, but I had all my documents, even the ones the website did NOT say I needed. 4. I asked if the 50 Euro starting balance would be there when I received my card, and the "senior" employee said he didn't know if that was something Commerzbank was still doing or not, so he didn't know. 5. No apology for the wait. No apology for the hassle. No apology for the rudeness.
