Feels like a government owned bank! The work gets done in slow manner, so if you want something to done urgently, better take your business somewhere else. Although it doesn't matter as I have seen this in almost all banks. I felt the staff is helpful if you ask them anything but your work will done only based on token numbers, which is a good thing and you can't do anything about it. However, the bank should take cases promptly.
I came to this branch for ASB/UT and credit card enquiries but experienced poor service. There was no SA at the welcome counter, and 3 staffs (literally 1 step away) nearby continued chatting without attending and ignored me. I promised they saw me, but purposely ignored me. The branch was empty, yet no assistance was offered. I had to raise my hand to get attention but only the teller acknowledged (since everyone buat bodoh) me and asked me to scan the QR code. Despite the counters being unattended, the waiting time was excessive. I gave up and left. Wasting my time and spoilt everything.
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service at Counter 5. The staff member (an old lady) was rude and unprofessional. She refused to handle my request and insisted on printed documents, while the Wisma Genting branch handled the same issue seamlessly. When I offered to send my PDF documents via email to expedite the process, she flatly refused to provide an email address. She repeatedly told me to "go to another branch." This is unacceptable behavior.
Extremely disappointed with irresponsible and unprofessional CIMB Officer Stephy Lau Siew Hui. I applied for a credit card on 21 Oct 2025 through Stephy Lau. She asked for my documents in the morning, and I sent everything before noon. Since then — no response at all. I followed up many times over the next few days, yet she completely ignored my messages. Today, I was shocked to find out from her colleague that she’s actually on holiday in Osaka. No update, no handover, nothing. If she already knew she was travelling, why take my case in the first place? This is extremely irresponsible and unprofessional. The whole experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I expected basic communication and accountability, but instead got silence and unnecessary delay. CIMB really needs to review how cases are handled when staff go on leave — customers shouldn’t be left hanging like this. Unbelievable.
I would like to highlight that my issue remains unresolved despite previous follow-ups, and unfortunately, the problem still persists. Simply closing the case without providing a proper resolution does not address the root of the concern and only adds to my frustration. A closed ticket does not equate to a solved issue. I expect a thorough investigation and a concrete solution, rather than the matter being dismissed prematurely. I sincerely hope this can be escalated appropriately and handled with the urgency it deserves.
