Opened new savings account as rates looked attractive. 9 hours later and multiple phonecalls they couldn't complete a simple bank verification task to let me actually put some of my money into their system... What bank also doesn't have an app nowadays, it's 2026. Car crash of a company, avoid at all costs.

Poor customer service. Their website is geo-locked , meaning that even if you are an existing customer , but are outside of the UK ( on holiday or a work assignment for example) you cannot access or log on to your account. So after 17 minutes on a hold I was told that a savings team would phone me back. seven days later this has not happened. So again I phoned and was put on hold for 12 minutes before an operator told me that they'd all gone home for the day but if I sent an email requesting a call back it would happen. I did this twice nothing happened, even their customer service doesn't know that their website is locked geo locked Useless. Absolutely useless. Update ... Oh and if you're reading this review, you will see they sent a standard useless reply 4 months later.. what a joke 😂😂😂🤣🤣

With much regret, having been with Shawbrook for 9 years, I have ended my relationship. The reason is the Customer Service and out-of-date methods of response. Wait times of 45 minutes at worse, 25 minutes at best are totally unacceptable. Email replies are SO slow and when the simplest reply requires a complex log-in then it demonstrates the Bank is out of touch. I'll sacrifice a tiny percent to go somewhere that is fully functional for the modern world.

I should receive monthly interest from my isa with Shawbrook Bank on the 23rd of every month but it never gets paid on time and I have to message or call them every month to get it paid out to me or i wouldn’t receive it at all. Save elsewhere without the aggravation.

I have been a savings customer for 2 years. They aren't 100% perfect but have always been responsive and acted upon my instructions pretty quickly, so am surprised to see all the negative reviews. Don’t have any complaints about them, and their interest rates are amongst the highest in the market for savings
