I’d like to take a moment to recognize the outstanding service I received from Claudia during my first visit to the BMO Bank of Montreal – Mapleview Drive West Branch, Barrie. I stopped by with an issue yesterday, Claudia was clearly busy but still took the time to listen and point me in the right direction. I had to leave while waiting in line, but when I returned a few hours later, I was amazed to learn she had already taken the initiative to resolve everything for me. That level of care and dedication—especially since I’m not even her client—was truly impressive. Claudia went above and beyond and made the entire experience effortless. Her professionalism and commitment to helping others deserve recognition. Thank you Claudia, Your efforts are sincerely appreciated. 👏😊
I really haven't had too much to deal with, other than the long waits (there will be 2 people in line, and 1 teller then 8 people in line, and 1 teller). Others walk by several times, but noone opens another window. I have hip, and spinal issues, and the pressure it puts on me to wait so long, is unnecessary. Other branches have chairs in the wait line, plus chairs at the wickets. Also the ATM machine in thr back has been broken for years. It has ripped my money, it has taken $1,000 but awarded me $800. I have had to wait a week to get MY money back. They never answer the phone, even when the message says, let me get the help you need faster. If I am calling, it is due to a reason, and not after you have closed. I got rudeness from one girl who returned my call after hours. The bank made a mistake, but it was put to me, as my fault, and they would adjust it (THIS ONE TIME), as they are doing me a favour. The worst thing they did to me in 2025, around August, is they shut down my line o
My husband and I are newly married and recently opened up our joint accounts with Gabriel. Gabriel was professional, kind and was able to answer all our questions. This is my first time using BMO, after having been with a competing bank for 30+ years. So far I pleased with the customer service, provided both by Gabriel in branch and the call center. However, there is lots of opportunity for BMO to improve both its app and online banking platform.
Teller could not process my cra payment went to branch at Bayfield no problem except I had to drive across town after waiting in line for 20 minutes. He also told me after depositing a cheque to my corporate account it had to be held. I asked at other branch no hold. I have had this account for 15 years and been depositing without hold. Won't go back to this branch ever.
This bank is alway the slowest. The workers just chit chat all day and work at such a snail pace. Go anywhere else but here if you don't want to wait 45min
