Thank you Maisie and Helen for all your professional help in sorting out my old Dormant account on my recent visit to the Birmingham Branch You two are a credit to The Co-operative Bank.
Went in with an obscure request (to revive a lost account via a Smile chequebook and ID, impossible over the phone after a couple of hours of trying). Got a new account number and instructions on what to do next in about five minutes. So happy, thanks!
I received a letter stating my mortgage switch will happen in 1 October but you have taken a direct debit for standing variable rate charges I called the provided phone number but got cut off after a hour off waiting. Unprofessional and unhelpful service
My wife and I have banked here for 12 years, but my wife has not been allowed to withdraw cash ( managers instructions )? We have made the decision to change banks, and have opened a new account with a different bank. Unfortunately, the Co-operative are NOT complying with our new bank's attempts to switch account information. It's a disgusting state of affairs when a bank refuses to let you withdraw your own money.
Absolute joke. No branches left locally so drove an hour as on the phone they were useless and could not help. The Birmingham branch could not sort it there and then and made an appointment to call back two weeks later. Waited all day on Monday, gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought they may be busy and give them a few extra days but still no call. I hope they close all the branches and all the staff loose their jobs as it’s an embarrassment of a bank tbh I’ve not met one helpful member of staff.
