After spending 51.03 minutes on the phone with the new call center set up, I still did not achieve ANYTHING with Absa bank. They did not fix THEIR mistake yet and told me I must go into a branch, after being told at the branch that I can only fix it through the call center, Well, after banking with ABSA for over 20 years, I will fix the problem myself. I will into the branch on Saturday morning and close ALL my accounts, Investments, Bond everything! Spent 11 minutes with Nedbank and accounts are opened. They will have been talking to you people re closure of my bond. I am done with mediocrity! After the response received from them below. I received contact from Russell Edwards at the HQ. ABSA bank can be extremely thankful for this employee. He single handedly prevented you people to loose my accounts, my wife's accounts, as well as 2 other family members' accounts. You should keep this guy in your bank.
We bought a car from ABSA finance dept. They are absolutely useless. They were supposed to send the original car papers through, after a battle they sent a bunch of useless copies. You would thinkthey wpuld work with this on a daily basis.
I have not received A SINGLE STATEMENT that I can open, because the ID number is not mine. I just wonder who is benefiting on their credit score from my flawless payment. This has been going on for 51 months so far, of a 54 month term.... Disgusting and scandalous, to say the least. I have gone through all the emotional stages to rectify this issue, TO NO AVAIL. This the absolute worst service I have gotten from an established financial services provider. It border on criminality. I will Never, Never, Never ever be able to endorse or use ABSA BANK EVER, EVER, EVER again. Amateur service is a dinkum understatement. A One star rating is too big of a compliment.
Very unfriendly and hostile. The ladys on the second flour were unreasonably rude and refused to help me untill the call was made. Very poor customers service. To top it of rhey kept speaking Afrikaans to one another instead of trying to help me.
They don't answer their phones and the staff are not friendly at all and they don't even protect your interests (Trust funds)
