Worst experience I've ever had at a bank and I couldn't even get to the teller. Was in the bank for 15 minutes and the line didn't move. Others were walking out to put more money in the parking meter and others were just walking out. Spoke to one person and he had been waiting for 40 minutes because he had to have an issue dealt with. Another had been there for 30 minutes. Only 2 tellers on out of a possible 4. With the money these banks make each year from us you would think they'd be able to hire more staff. I eventually walked out. Tried to ring their custmer line and that experience wasn't much better. I would advise anyone with Westpac to try another bank. There are better ones out there.
Terrible customer service!! One time, I wanted to create a bank account for my mum; I didn’t know we had to have an appointment for that. The lady (I think she is a manager-by the way she talked to other staffs) who helped us was kind of disrespectful and rude. I couldn’t hear what she said, so I asked her again she started to say slowlyyyyyy…in a mocking annoying way that I am dumb not understanding her! Today we went there again in order to activate the card for my mum, and the lady staff who works at the counter has the same attitude as her manager. Like manager like staff!!! Poor customer service, disrespectful to customers! Don’t know how can those people work in the customer service. By the way, a baking specialist Nancy was a lovely, helpful and professional in her job. Love her service!!
Went in for a personal loan with Jess and absolutely amazing customer service and knowledge. Extremely helpful and kind throughout the process and made me feel welcomed and at ease. Thankyou Jess :)
Trying to withdraw a ripoff retirement investment from unobliging staff was much harder than when they want your money. Took AGES to be served in line, after being sent on a wild goose chase to certify online address etc etc Closing accounts!!!
Spent 30 mins in the branch trying to set something up with forms, ID, proof of address all taken and photocopied. Nothing was actioned so I called the westpac contact centre who emailed this branch. Got a phonecall from a woman from Westpac Lower Hutt who advised she would get the banker who copied my forms to ring me back . Nobody called. Called the contact centre again a week later to get someone to ring me as there is no way to contact the branch directly. Was told someone from Westpac Lower Hutt would call me in four hours. Still waiting two days later. So will now have to go back into the branch to sort the issue. HUGE waste of everyone's time. So glad I am no longer a Westpac customer for my personal banking, kiwisaver and mortgage as it is hard to trust a company that has been near impossible to deal with.
