I dealt with Hamish Scarsbrook, a Business Manager at Westpac Wellington, regarding a family trust loan. He repeatedly pushed beyond what was reasonable, using vague and pressuring tactics that felt coercive. It was especially concerning how he tried to take advantage of my elderly mother during the process. This left me questioning Westpac’s professionalism and transparency. Customers should not be subjected to this kind of behavior.

I had the EPOA for my dying husband and needed to be able to access his account. The lawyer had sent a photocopy with an affirmation stamp and legal signature saying it was true and correct. I was told they needed a ‘wet’ copy, which I picked up from the lawyer. This wasn’t enough and I had to get my husband to come with me to a JP to get his signature witnessed. It was the last time he left the house.
