I'm not sure why this bank is so underrated in google reviews. I have recently moved to Sweden an visited to the bank to create an account soon after I have the id card. I have to wait few minutes at the reception and after saying my need, they have check the basics and provided me an application form. Once filled, I got a date in the next week to create the mobile bank Id and everything. During the appointment, they have ready everything from their end and complete everything with minimum hassle. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Overall it is a 5 star experience for me.
Some stuffs of this bank might have strong discrimination against normal individuals from other countries. I arrived here to apply for an account but they asked me impatiently “how long will you be here?”, then told me “you need to wait for eight weeks”. After waiting for several weeks, they asked me a lot of private information, and told me that they had no partnership with the country I came from, and I had to prove where my money was from even it has been there for more than 3 years, also they could not understand why I could have savings ( I had worked for many years, I could not understand why they don’t understand people can have savings, and how could people keep track of every single record years before. ), and I was still rejected rudely even when I told them I might not transfer money here and only needed a BankID. This bank is awful and deeply ruined my impression of Sweden. If you are considering coming to Sweden, you really need to think carefully because even your bas
tl;dr: 1 hr wait time, office is too small for the amount of business they handle. They need at least 2 more counters and fully staffed. Staff was pleasant enough, but clearly stressed by the nonstop flow of people. Esmina was professional, very fast, and helpful. Just moved to the country and finally got my ID and have been having a hard time finding a bank that will take the time to open an account for me because I don't have a job yet. First came to Swedbank on 25/10 and was told it was too late in the day and they didn't have time to open the account for me. Came back on 28/10 at 11:30 and had to wait for an hour. The first woman who started helping me said she was supposed to go on lunch and didn't have enough time to help and asked us to keep waiting til a colleague got back. Finally the new colleague came back and we got started. Apparently it takes a lot of paperwork to open an account for a US person, but she cranked it out in 15 minutes. First of all, I want to give 0 points. Second, service: very poor; professionalism: none; staff: can't understand what they are doing. I heard that this bank has been heavily sued for some reason, now I think this bank has become more dangerous.
Bad customer service, employees don't know how to help and often have problems with customers, five people work and only two serve customers. I do not recommend this bank, if you do not want to have problems, do not choose this bank.
