My first experience with the bank (LIlle/Place de General de Gaulle) was with Marina Lewandowski. She helped me get an account even before I came to France. Once here, she was amazing on getting me home insurance really quickly, as that was needed before we could close on a housing purchase. She put in extra effort and it was really appreciated. Later in this process, I realized that my personal 4-digit code was sent by mail to my US address, yet now I was in France. I could not use my Debit Card, I could not get onto the website app or on my phone to check my balance. At this point I was introduced to a M. Matthys deJonckere. Wow! He met me about three times, once a day for three days. He did all kinds of research. He simply would not rest until my problem was solved. And he did it. Tireless and dedicated. Very professional. Excellent, rapid, and attentive service - both my current and my previous Advisor have gone out of their way to help me and provided excellent service. In particular, there was one serious issue with an international transfer which was handled rapidly and efficiently by my Advisor and took all of my worries away. I was very impressed with the service I received at BNP Paribas. The staff was extremely helpful in resolving some complications with my account. When my primary contact went on vacation, they handed off smoothly to other staff members and followed up to ensure nothing fell between the cracks.

I have been with BNP Paribas since I was 19 and now I am 50 and I am still with them though ​we moved into different countries and experienced different financial situations, time constraints or 'emergencies'. We always have found the staff nice from the front desk to the Management team and eager to find a solution to match our expectations.

BNP Paribas of lille Flandresis one of the worst agencies I have dealt with. I don’t recommend it to anyone, especially international students. I visited the bank more than seven times to open my account, yet my issues were still not resolved. First, they made a mistake with my mobile number, so I went back to the bank to correct it. Then they made a mistake with my address, so I had to go back again. They even delivered my card to the wrong address, forcing me to visit the bank just to receive my card. When I tried calling them and speaking in English, they didn’t respond properly and even disconnected the call. This was my experience, and they need to improve in all these areas.
