Here in the bank, is really depend the person you met on the day, how are they feeling , one time same gentleman was very kind, today was really rude. Not professional, left people felt unwelcome. Lucky another gentleman helped to make a good explanation. Still didn’t feel wanting to come back , pity this is how people work here.

We came to this branch of unicredit this morning to try and open a Italian bank account. We are in the process of buying a house in Italy. So as we arrive in the back no we did not have any appointment we just needed info on how to make an appointment. A guy in the bank act like he did know how to help us with making an appointment as I explain to them when we go on the bank’s website it want let us. Then he says call this 800 323285 to make one. I tried it did not work for me so we asked him how do we dial this number from a German cell phone. He don’t know he just says go to another bank like I don’t belong here or something. I don’t say he was rude but I will say that he was not trying to help in anyway at all. I guess this is how they do business here in Italy. This bank this size only has 1 person helping out people with appointments and 2 tellers. Cause they all on vacation wow. My wife and I waiting there for over 2 hours and the lady waiting until they closed at 1300 t

FOR TOURIST ATM INFO: This bank’s ATM is the best we found in Florence. It charges a €5 Euro ATM fee and no addition % charges for a foreign transaction. The only thing I will say is DO NOT accept their bank’s proposed conversion from $ to €. If you are using your own U.S. bank debit card, you can use your bank’s conversion rate (which is the true conversion rate) and you will not be charged an additional fee.

I love this bank; Zita is always so helpful and always makes herself available for me. She guides me through all my personal banking, and I even have all my business accounts here. The staff is so friendly!

ATM’s are around the corner from the bank entrance. Push the button on the wall to the right to enter. Americans: decline the conversion fee to dollars and you only pay a 5 euro fee instead of a percentage. Clean, safe area.
