This review reflects only my personal experience visiting an ING Bank office and my subjective impression of the service. I visited the ING Bank branch during working hours, bringing a written statement in English with a full description of my issue. Instead of receiving help, I encountered a clear unwillingness to assist. A man who was training a young employee forbade her to read my written request, to use a translator to understand it, and even refused to let me call a person who could help with translation. He insisted that I should call customer service myself in Dutch or English, or come back with a translator — as if it were easy to find someone during working hours who could leave their job and go to the bank with me. Perhaps these are ING Bank’s internal instructions, but I was not given any reference to such rules in publicly available documents.
