Visited DBS bank at Harbourfront to seek help with a DCP application that didn't go very well with their online services due to upload limitations. Was immediately brushed off telling me that it can be only done online by an adviser standing by the entrance after getting referred by an usher staff(3Feb 1130am est.) I told her if it was a non tech savvy person looking to apply, you mean the bank will not assist? I felt admonished almost immediately, where I was given a queue number to the common tellers when there are several adviser consultants with their office cubicles empty with no customers, who could have assist me with the issue rather than putting me through a long wait that would span me 1hr at least.

My husband and I visited this branch to open a joint bank account, and I’ll be honest, I was a bit nervous beforehand because of the overall review score. However, our experience was completely the opposite. We arrived at 10:15 am, there was no queue, and we were assisted immediately by a very professional lady. When she needed to help another client, a gentleman stepped in to assist us. He was polite, friendly, and extremely patient, taking the time to explain everything clearly and guide us through the process step by step. It was genuinely refreshing service. Please don’t be fooled by the low star rating, our experience was extremely pleasant and positive.

I visited the bank yesterday to check that everything with my account was in order. My English is not very strong, so it can sometimes be difficult for me to explain things. However, Ms Sherley Heng (I apologise if I have misspelt the name) was very patient and took the time to listen carefully. She kindly helped check my account. Everything is now perfectly sorted. Thank you very much for your kindness and support.

As another pioneer gen Singaporean walking into this massive Dbs outlet for banking support during lunch break unaccompanied yesterday, I was surprised to experience the cold and indifferent Ai type of treatment! A long wait of more than 30 minutes just outside the room had caused my knees to go numb but none of the 4 bank staff around displayed any sign of care ! I had to leave the long queue to pull a heavy chair just to sit down to prevent falling down! Still none cared to come forward whilst choosing to stand aloof nearby without attending to any visible customers...

The efficiency is very poor and very slow. It is obviously just to renew the permit, but they do not allow people to handle it online. They have to go offline and mix with other aunts and uncles. Their business is troublesome and cumbersome. I only need to renew the permit, which can be completed in 3 minutes, but I waited for an hour and a half. It's so cold, almost freezing, and the teller is still chatting.
