Commerzbank 7 Promenadeplatz Altstadt-Lehel

My wife and I just relocated to Munich a week ago. Without a bank account, it is difficult to proceed any further and get basic services, i.e. home internet connection, mobile numbers, electricity connection etc. Thanks to Mr. Yasin Aboudi from Commerzbank Filiale in Munich-Promenadeplatz, opening a bank account was extremely smooth and fast. In 1 day the account was open. If it wasn’t for Mr. Aboudi’s support we would still be waiting today to hear from the other banks we already approached 3 days ago to contact us. If you plan to move to Munich and require a local bank account I highly recommend Commerzbank and specifically working with Mr. Aboudi.

They can close your account without giving any explanation just because your parents are sending you money for daily life expenses from a country they judge politically incorrect for them. Even if you provide them with proof that those money comes from your parents they will close your account.

I had met with Herr Jaber at the Munich Promenadeplatz branch. He was very knowledgeable and patiently answered all my questions. I am very happy with his service.

Both times I've tried their customer service at this branch, has been a terrible experience. The woman is extremely unfriendly and acts like she'd rather be on holiday. If you don't like engaging with customers, then why choose customer service? From now on, I only use the Leopaldstrasse branch because they are always friendly, efficient and patient.

I closed an account in person, was told to wait 2-3 days for remaining funds to transfer, still waiting a week later. Called customer service and was told there is no record of my account closure and i cannot access anything. Do not recommend this bank.
