Extremely Disappointing Experience at Canara Bank My experience with Canara Bank has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. It took nearly 30 days just to open a current account initially, which is unusually slow. After using the account for only a month, the bank suddenly froze it without any prior notice, call. I had to make multiple visits over a span of 80 days, submit documents repeatedly, and even file a grievance complaint just to prove my credibility and get the account reactivated. During this entire period, I was unable to maintain the required balance — not due to my fault, but because of the bank’s actions. Yet, they still charged me a folio fee, which I had to fight to get reversed. Even after submitting a written request and making three separate visits, the issue was only resolved after I raised a formal complaint. It should not take this level of effort to correct something caused by the bank itself. The staff, unfortunately, seemed untrained and inattentive
