I would like to share my experience with Dubai Islamic Bank regarding a personal loan application. Despite meeting the stated eligibility criteria — including having a qualifying salary, stable employment, acceptable AECB credit score, complete documentation, and consistent salary credits — my application was repeatedly rejected. This happened even after branch-level confirmation that I was eligible and after receiving a pre-approval link, which later failed due to a system employer mismatch issue. What makes this experience particularly confusing is that colleagues from the same company, with lower salaries and in some cases weaker credit histories, were approved for similar loans during the same period. We share the same employer, payroll system, and salary credit dates, yet outcomes were very different. Extremely disappointing experience with Dubai Islamic Bank KYC and non-resident account update. I have been trying for months to convert my account to non-resident status. Despite repeatedly providing clear written explanations, the compliance team keeps asking the same questions again and again, with no coordination or understanding of the case. The online system blocks access by forcing Emirates ID renewal, even though I am no longer a UAE resident, and customer support is unable to resolve this internally. This process has caused unnecessary stress, delays, and account restrictions. For a major bank, the lack of clarity, ownership, and customer-centric handling is very disappointing. I hope senior management reviews how non-resident customers are handled.

the worst bank ever, zero customer service with the worst experience. It been 2 months I can't track my expenses due to their late update on the application and website, out of a sudden you will get lost and you won't be able to know how much you spent. when you will call them or visit their branch they will simply raise a complaint and no action taken, I have 4 complaints submitted but it's useless
